The first video is a fun twist on the card game, war. It will help K-5 students learn addition, subtraction and multiplication. Rich Baez, a 6th grade math teacher at the Bennie Dover Jackson Multi-Magnet School Campus, will be the instructor in this video.

Mr. Baez is back with another fun math game utilizing playing cards. Target, is for students in middle school and high school.

In our next video, City Councilor Kevin Booker Jr. will read us, The Pigeon by Mo Willems. He is joined by his two friends Leo and Olivia, as they remind us to wash our hands! Enjoy and don't forget to have some fun during these challenging times.

Check out this bi-lingual read-a-long of Stone Soup by Marcia Brown. Mr. Enos reads in English and Mrs. Silva reads in Spanish.

While we are spending so much time in our home, it is important to stay active. Always remember to exercise the mind and the body! Andrea Chappelle, Head Track and Field Coach at New London High School, along with some help from Mr. Satterfield and Mrs. Hills-Papetti are demonstrating some fun exercises that can be done right in your living room.

Home Workout:



Mr Buzzeo, K-2 Special Education Teacher from Harbor School, reads us two books. The first book is titled, Do Like a Duck Does by Judy Hindley. In this book, Momma Duck is protecting her ducklings from a sneaky fox trying to act like a duck.

The second book that Mr. Buzzeo reads is titled, Giraffes Can't Dance by Giles Andreae. Gerald the Giraffe wants to dance so badly, although his crooked knees makes dancing more of a challenge then expected. With a little help from a friend, Gerald perseveres and is able to dance to his own tune.
