The Office of Talent Management (OTM) is not just a place where people visit to inquire about employment opportunities and submit applications; it is the home to a staff who strive to recruit, retain and develop the highest quality teachers and leaders the education sector has to offer.

In the New London Public Schools, our students are our first priority. As we collaborate with other departments to create an environment of success throughout the district, the OTM plays a critical role in supporting the growth of the students by:

  • Welcoming diverse and vibrant educators to join the New London Public Schools faculty and staff
  • Providing faculty and staff with relevant professional development informed by teacher evaluation along with ongoing exploration of systems to house professional development data
  • Creating opportunities for career growth inside and outside of the classroom

As NLPS continues to transform into the only all-magnet district in the state, the OTM continues to seek out dynamic individuals to join our staff. Please view the employment page for more details.

Robert Stacy
Executive Director Human Resources & Talent

I joined the New London team in July 2020.  My primary responsibility is to lead the critical function of talent management in strong support of schools in their goals for high student achievement.  The HR Team focuses on excellence in recruiting, hiring and retaining a highly qualified, diverse work force.  We continue to improve customer service through innovation and best practices.  We work with union leadership to focus on collaborating on initiatives that will benefit students and staff.  I provide support to the Board of Education and the Superintendent of Schools on key policy issues, Union contract management  and collective bargaining.

I received my Bachelors Degree from Siena College and my Juris Doctor from Albany Law School.  I am certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and as a School Business Manager (085).

Grace Sanchez

Human Resources Specialist

Thank you for stopping by to visit our page. I have enjoyed working for the district for almost a decade. During my time at New London Public Schools, I have had the pleasure of meeting many parents, students and community members of whom I consider very dear to my heart.
My focus in the Human Resources Office varies since we are a small department. Some of my responsibilities are: manage the pre-employment process, on-boarding and off-boarding of employees, oversee the management of certification for the district, manage tuition reimbursement and degree changes for the district, verification of employment, manage TRB for the district, assist with the district recruitment, manage Applitrack - the district's recruiting software, support the new hire process for the substitute applicants and much more.

I received my associates degree in Business Administration from Fisher College and a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Bryant University. I am member of several professional organizations including Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and Connecticut Employers Labor Relations Association (ConnPELRA).
