Week of June 15th - June 19th

Edgneuity Weekly Routine

  • Students generally complete 3-5 assignments on Edgenuity based on specific target dates and adjusted based on time.
  • Generally, these assignments are based on five academic hours, per subject, for the week, but can vary based on each student’s pace.
  • Each week a 30-45 minute Zoom meeting is held to help students navigate Edgenuity, answer clarifying questions on content, and provide an opportunity for teachers to provide additional support or content knowledge.
  • Teachers are in regular weekly contact with all students in their classes.

Elective Weekly Routine

  • Students are generally assigned work with a weekly target date, for which the work is due, that amounts roughly to five academic hours.
  • Supplementary material, lesson objectives, academic expectations, and target dates can all be found on Google Classroom for each elective. Each teacher has a google classroom page set up for each elective that they teach.
  • Each week a 30-45 minute Zoom meeting is held to provide content relevant to the assignment, provide a clear objective for learning, and explanation of academic expectations.
  • Teachers are in regular, weekly contact with all their students in their classes.
  • *All Social Studies teachers provide weekly academic hours for students, in which they can contact teachers directly through remind or email and in some cases schedule individual or small group zoom meetings to help students with distance learning.

Parent Communication

  • Parents should check their child’s student email account, on a weekly basis, for updates from their teachers for all Edgenuity courses. They should also monitor the progress of their children on Edgenuity. Have your children log in so that they can see academic progress in all their core classes.
  • Parents should check Google Classroom for all elective courses on a weekly basis for updates from their teachers. They can access all assignments, academic expectations, and target dates.
  • Parents should utilize email, remind, and or Google Classroom as a means of direct communication with teachers. Teachers are asked to check in throughout the school day and will respond promptly.
